Pick fruit with us

If you would like to become a volunteer fruit gleaner, send an email to info@notfarfromthetree.org to be added to the email list. You’ll get notices about upcoming fruit picking opportunities in Toronto. During your first pick you’ll be asked to register as a volunteer and sign a waiver. You don’t need any prior picking experience, and we provide equipment to make your job easier. You’ll meet great people and get to bring home part of the harvest. Remember to bring some water and a container to bring home your fruit.

I’d love to volunteer to pick fruit! What a fantastic idea. Just wondering if you do any picking in the East end of the city. I live in a mature area of Scarbough with plenty of fruit trees. How do we find out about having our neighbourhood join with your organization. We have an active community organization that should have no problem getting volunteers.
This is a great idea. I’d love to volunteer as a gleaner. Please put me on your mailing list.
Cheers,
John
