End-of-season celebration!

Tomorrow evening, not far from the tree will be holding a party as an end-of-season celebration. We have so much to celebrate this year, such as picking over 3,000 pounds of fruit that would have otherwise gone to waste.

Volunteers, fruit tree owners, partner agencies, and friends of not far from the tree are invited to […]

And it’s been a real pleasure, not to mention a great opportunity to share our fruit picking adventures. I always enjoy the friendly faces […]

Not part of our normal operations, certainly. But when the last minute invitation arrived, we thought it’d be nice to participate. The fruit was used at the From the Ground […]

The Gladstone’s Harvest Wednesdays invited us to host a table at another one of their tasting events. This is always a great chance to meet great people and taste great food.
We shared a table with Ben of Monforte Dairy, who served up his classic old cheddar with our fresh pears and apples. We couldn’t have […]

Yesterday evening Suzanne and I hosted a table at the Gladstone Hotel’s Harvest Wednesdays “Summer Tasting.” It was such a lovely event, filled with inspiring producers, businesses, and organizations. The menu was tantalizing, particularly the prosciutto-wrapped apricots mixed with walnut sage butter and wrapped in phyllo - although we here at not far from the […]
