Spadina Sundays: From blossoms to fruit, a Spadina season

Hard to believe our last pick at Spadina Museum is coming soon, this Sunday September 20th. We already have our official pickers signed up, but everybody is welcome to come and watch the spectacle of urban apple harvesting!
Not Far From The Tree‘s origin story begins at Spadina Museum, where we first harvested the apple trees in the heritage orchard. Last year we were lucky to have many Spadina Saturdays with biking-to-market adventure afterwards. Not Far From The Tree started off this year with the Spring Blossom Fest and our first Spadina harvest was on Labour Day weekend. This year it’s been a shorter season than last year (due to the city workers’ strike and our own change of rhythm), now on Sundays even!
