Let’s go back to high school…

Not Far From The Tree has been visiting high schools as of late. Marc and I spoke at three Earth Day assemblies (North Toronto Collegiate, Parkdale Collegiate, and Humberside) and I had the privilege of giving the keynote at the TDSB’s Youth Food Summit.
I was amazed and inspired by what all of these high school students are doing. It even made me consider turning back time to when I was in high school, but with the decade of ideas and solutions that make today’s learning experience that much more engaging. Most exciting of all was how acutely – and passionately – these students were questioning the current food system and seeking ways to right it again.
