Not Far From The Tree has captured the hearts and imaginations of many. It all sparked from the elbow grease and determination that our founder Laura Reinsborough devoted to the cause. She took a simple idea and implemented it with gusto.
We’re proud to announce that she has been endowed with the title of GreenHero. With the likes of Gord Downie, Sarah Harmer, Jane Goodall, and Leilani Munter, this is a great honour.
Above you can watch the webisode featuring Laura. GreenHeroes TV doesn’t stop there. They have created a contest to find GreenHeroes for next season, so go ahead and nominate somebody that you know. They’ve also launched a blog to report on heroic acts related to each GreenHero’s area of expertise. And there’s even a special campaign called Tasting Local Food surrounding Laura’s work with Not Far From The Tree.
